Stevensville is a census-designated place in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. There were approximately 5,880 people living in Stevensville in 2000 according to the United States Census Bureau. Stevensville is most populous place among both census-designated places and municipalities in Queen Anne’s County.

Although individuals inhabited the area where Stevensville is located many years before its founding, the community was not formally established until 1850. Today, many historic structures still stand in Stevensville. The Stevensville Historic District contains about 100 historic structures dating back to its earliest days. The Stevensville Bank, Mattapax, Christ Church, Cray House, Friendship, and Legg’s Dependence are all located within Stevensville and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
