Queenstown is a small town located in the Eastern Shore region of Maryland. It is positioned in Queen Anne’s County and is one of the largest communities therein. Queenstown, Maryland was originally known as Queen Anne’s Towne. It was established in 1707 and the name of the town was changed in 1710. Originally, Queenstown was the first county seat of Queen Anne’s County. The town was named so in 1707. The courthouse was constructed in 1708 stands in Queenstown today.
