About Cambridge, MD - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in central Maryland is the beautiful city of Cambridge. It is positioned in Dorchester County which is located on the Chesapeake peninsula in the Eastern Shore region of Maryland. According to the United States Census Bureau, approximately 12,468 people lived in Cambridge in 2016. Cambridge is the 20th largest municipality in Maryland.

Before the English arrived, the area where Cambridge is located was occupied by Choptank Indians. These individuals inhabited the area until English colonists arrived in the area in 1684. It is one of the oldest colonial cities in Maryland. Cambridge served as a trading hub in the early years of its founding and was not incorporated until almost 100 years after it was settled. Today, Cambridge is a beautiful city that is home to many attractions. The waterfront community is characterized by streets paved with bricks, historical districts, beautiful parks, and museums. Downtown Cambridge is home to many shopping and dining opportunities including boutiques, galleries, entertainment venues, and shopping and arts districts. Also, because Cambridge is located on the Chesapeake peninsula, individuals are provided easy access to fishing, boating, and sailing opportunities.

Cambridge is located in a region of the United States that experiences four distinct seasons. The months of June, July, and August are usually warm and humidity levels are high. Temperatures range from the mid to upper-80s on average. When warm waves of air pass through the city, temperatures will climb to the 90s. Also, precipitation is common throughout the summer seasons. Central air conditioning units help residents stay cool in their homes. Residents should hire technicians to inspect their systems regularly to ensure they are prepared to withstand plenty of use during the summer seasons and are operating as efficiently as possible.

In addition to cooling units, heating systems are necessary. Temperatures easily dip well below freezing during the winter months and also snowfall is common. Heating units like heat pumps help Cambridge residents stay warm and dry inside their homes throughout the long winter seasons.
